MASTERCLASS
BEYOND TECHNIQUE
The philosophy-first 4 hour masterclass that transforms good players into world-class musicians.
This is different.
This is everything that gives your playing meaning — the philosophy,
the language, the decision-making,
the extraordinary technique.
From someone who walked the walk. Wore out the rewind buttons. Studied the greats. Figured it out through obsession. And proved it on the world's biggest stages.
Not from a fancy classroom.
A kid from Paris who became the most-studied and influential bass player of his generation. For the first time, he's sharing it all.
How to think.
How to break through the invisible ceiling.
How to go from good to great.
Not what to play. Not how to operate a bass. But the musical intelligence that makes the difference between playing bass and being a musician. A complete system — complex ideas made simple, structured for self-study, yours to keep for life.
This is the toolbox he used to become a reference. Now it's yours.
YOU KNOW THE FEELING
you practice, practice…
but do not improve
you invest time and effort…
but feel stuck
your growth plateaued…
but you long to be great
you are copying others…
but you want your own voice
you want to go to next level…
but don't know how
you are hungry for real knowledge…
but all you find is basics
SO HERE IT IS
the PHILOSOPHY
To develop your mind, not just your ear. To understand the meaning behind each tool.
the LANGUAGE
To go beyond exercises, beyond learning licks. To build your comping, soloing, and expression.
the SOUND
To develop through Philosophy and Practice integration. To become unique.
the MASTERY
To perfect advanced technique. To understand everything that gives it meaning. To apply with mastery.
IS IT FOR ME?
If you're earlier in your journey, you'll find it useful and inspirational. If you're advanced, you'll finally get the depth you've been missing.
This Masterclass is not about the basics.
It covers complex concepts, explained simply.
It designed for intermediate to advanced musicians. From those who are comfortable operating a bass guitar to pro’s of 30+ years.
It's not about how long you've played.
It's about how seriously you take it.
And the best part — you own it for life.
Come back as you grow.
Every time you do, you'll uncover something new.
LET’S START
Before you commit.

FAQ

This is a philosophy-first masterclass featuring 40+ video lessons (4+ hours of content) where Hadrien shares his complete methodology for developing as a musician. It's structured as a conversation between Hadrien and Grammy-winning pianist Ruslan Sirota, half teaching, half discussion. Think of it like sitting in a studio with Hadrien as he explains not just what to play, but how to think, hear, and evolve as a musician.
-
The masterclass covers: Philosophy of musicianship and Hadrien's self-taught journey; Building musical language vs. memorizing licks; All modes, how to hear them, feel them, and use them musically; Transcribing methodology that develops your ear; Playing in a band and finding your voice; Technique with meaning, action, feel, fretless, putting soul into notes; The difference between social media musicians and real musicians.
-
Yes and no. You'll learn technique, but technique isn't the point. Most courses give you exercises, "practice this scale," "learn this lick." Month after month, you don't actually become more musical. This masterclass gives you the tools Hadrien used to go from a kid in Paris wearing out rewind buttons to being called "the new Jaco" by John McLaughlin. The philosophy behind technique. The intelligence behind note choices. The musicianship that separates good players from exceptional ones.

Three things: First, it's philosophy-first. You learn HOW to think, not just WHAT to play. Second, it comes from a self-taught virtuoso who achieved world-class status without formal academy training, so he explains complex ideas in plain language. Third, it's about developing YOUR voice, not copying Hadrien's. This is music education that makes you a better musician, not just a better bass player.
-
The docu-series is Hadrien Feraud's origin story, his influences, his personal journey, and how his approach to music and the bass came to be. It's a standalone free series, not a direct part of the Masterclass, but a natural predecessor to it. The docuseries references various musical compositions, recordings, and artists for educational and reference purposes only, under fair use.
